How The Project Started
Customer’s home had a small concrete patio and porch that were originally built attached to the house. The home also had a second small concrete pad that was installed sometime after the house was built, but it was not attached to the house. The homeowner wanted to increase their outside living and entertainment space to this existing setup.
A Plus Project After Photos
A Plus Home Remodel removed the small unattached concrete pad and installed a 20 foot by 12 foot concrete patio anchored to the house and built a 20 foot x 12 foot covered porch. The new porch has 2 ceiling fans, an electrical outlet near the ceiling for a TV and an electrical outlet on a corner post. The porch roof is attached to the house roof and is covered with matching shingles. To maintain the long-term integrity of the cedar porch posts, they are anchored into the concrete using galvanized standoff post base to prevent the posts from rotting. The posts are stained and the bases are covered with stained trim. The porch is painted to match the house. The customer also wanted the exterior of their house painted. The customer loves their new outdoor living and entertainment space.
